Fourth generation (2007-2012)

The fourth-generation Altima was introduced in 2007. It had a more aerodynamic design and was available with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V6.

Fifth generation (2013-2018)

The fifth-generation Altima was introduced in 2013. It featured a sportier design and was available with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V6.

Sixth generation (2019-present)

The current generation Altima was introduced in 2019. It has a more modern and sophisticated design and is available with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The 2022 model year marks a significant update with the addition of more standard safety features, a new infotainment system, and an optional all-wheel drive.
